My, my, haven't we all been busy. I know I have. I've had barely anytime at all to sit down this entire week.
And of course, when I did get that little bit of free time, I just couldn't help picking up the paper.
Congrats, Pansy dear, on finally getting your name in the paper. I would have preferred the society pages had I been you, but the police log is good all the same. Honestly, I never pegged you for the criminal type when we were in school, but then again, never judge a book by its cover.
( Private to Pansy )
In other news- a Gala! How marvelous. It's been a long time since I've had a good party. Pansy, you better be out of there by the time this comes around. I am NOT mingling alone.

Two weeks in Prague and my once tidy desk is trashed with paperwork. Why in Salazar's name does it feel like I am the only one doing work around here? I've only been dealing with the legal consequences of rounded up war criminals for the past fortnight. Merlin forbid I ever have a day off when I get back.
With this heap the Ministry is throwing at me, I really deserve a promotion lapdog of some sort. A muggle preferably.
Well, I did travel to Four Winds last night to see Mother and Father. But that was no picnic. Mother's fallen into a complete state of distress, though I don't much blame her. But still, locking yourself under a canopy all day and night is a bit over dramatic. If she really cares so much, she should be doing something- like I am. And I am doing something, aren't I?
At least Father's proud of me. The man has some notion of logic, unlike Mother.
I don't know why I'm even bothering to write in this foolish thing. It's late and I have to unpack. All I can say is, though England's not the way I quite pictured anymore, it's good to be home.
